2 Atlantic Expropriation News
2/20 Atlantic has been expropriated, along with other surrounding properties in Liberty Village, by the Province of Ontario as part of the new Ontario Line Transit Project. The property will be re-imagined as part of the Liberty Village/Exhibition Place Station and contribute to the on-going redevelopment and enhancement of Liberty Village. The Ontario Line is a valued improvement to the Liberty Village neighbourhood and to the City of Toronto. The 15.6-kilometre, 15-stop subway line will run from Exhibition Place, through the downtown core and up to the Ontario Science Centre at Eglinton and Don Mills Road. Once completed, the Ontario Line will create fast, easy connections between dozens of neighbourhoods, making travel within our city more efficient.
Adgar Canada CEO, Chris Tambakis says, “As long-term owners of several properties in Liberty Village, and throughout the GTA, we have always been proud to play a small part in the revitalization of the Liberty Village community. The addition of the Ontario Line will continue to transform Liberty Village into a vibrant area and community where residents can live, work and be connected.”
